Ultrasonic Food Cutting Blade

We produce many different sizes of ultrasonic food cutting blade, together with the ultrasonic generator and transducer for food cutting — providing the cutting solution for your line.

Blade range

From 10 mm to 450 mm, half wave or full wave

We can produce multiple different cutting sizes of ultrasonic food cutting blade according to customer demand. The cutting size can be chosen from 10 mm to 450 mm, in both half wave and full wave, such as 20 kHz or 30 kHz 150 mm, 200 mm, 300 mm, 305 mm and 350 mm.

Every blade is machined and tuned to the frequency of the head it will run on, and checked on the generator before it leaves the factory. A replacement blade therefore drops straight into an existing system, with no re-setting of the machine.

Blade formats

Three blade sizes we machine most often

Length follows the width of the product and the cut format. Anything outside the standard range can be produced to a drawing, up to 450 mm.

150 mm ultrasonic food cutting blade
150 mm — short blade for narrow products, small heads and hand-held work
300 mm ultrasonic food cutting blade
300 mm — the standard width for cake, cheese and bread on a cutting machine

Mixed formats — blades from 70 mm to 350 mm, half wave and full wave, produced to order
Blade & stack

One blade, bolted to a matched stack

Mounting

Bolted to the booster, tuned to the head

The blade mounts on the booster at the front of the stack. The blade is the part that touches the product, so its length and profile set the cutting width and the depth of the cut.

We supply the blade on its own as a spare, or together with the booster, the transducer and the generator as a complete cutting head.

Replacement

A blade change does not need the head to come back to us

The blade is a wearing part, so it is designed to be exchanged rather than rebuilt. Fit the new blade, check the frequency on the generator, and the head is back in production.

Keep the blade length and the frequency identical to the original and nothing else on the machine has to be adjusted.

Advantages

Why an ultrasonic blade cuts better than a plain knife

High stability

The generator converts electrical drive into mechanical oscillation that is transmitted to the blade and to the product. The cut is made by vibration, so no sharp edge is needed, blade wear is minimised and the blade head can be replaced easily.

Avoid contamination

The blade head stays below 50 °C in use, so no smoke and no odour are produced. There is no risk of injury or fire during the cut, and no burnt residue is left on the product.

Clean cutting

Material does not adhere to the blade surface and only light pressure is needed, so soft and fragile products keep their shape. On fabric, the edge is sealed automatically without fraying.

Ease of operation

Connect the blade to the ultrasonic generator, plug the generator into a 220 V supply and switch on to cut straight away. Hand-held and machine-mounted cutting are both supported.

Wide range of applications

Cake, cheese, sandwich, chocolate and frozen meat — and also rubber, vulcanised and un-vulcanised latex, textile materials and plastic sheet.

Applications

Cakes, cheese, frozen food and more

One blade covers a wide range of foods. Tell us the product, its temperature and the cut width you need, and we will match the blade, the frequency and the head to it.

  • Bakery & confectionery

Cake, layered sponge, sandwiches, chocolate and confectionery — clean cut faces on sticky and layered products.

  • Dairy

Cheese blocks, portions and butter, cut without pressure and without sticking to the blade.

  • Frozen food

Frozen meat, fish and prepared products cut straight from the freezer, without thawing first.

  • Rubber & latex

Rubber, vulcanised and un-vulcanised latex, cut by vibration instead of by a sharp edge.

  • Textiles & plastic sheet

Textile materials, plastic sheet and other plastics, including sealed edges on fabric.

Quality control

Every blade is cut-tested before it ships

Before a blade leaves the factory it is fitted to the same stack it will run on and used to cut a real product on the bench. The frequency is then read back on the generator to confirm the blade is tuned to its head.

The photos on the right are from that test bench — the blade parting a layered product, and the generator holding the working frequency.

FAQ

Questions buyers ask before ordering

Can I buy just the blade for my existing machine?

Yes — we supply replacement titanium and steel blades machined and tuned to your existing cutting-head frequency.

How often do blades need replacing?

Blade life varies with the product and duty; they are rebuildable and we can re-tune or replace them as needed.

Do blades need re-sharpening?

No conventional sharpening. When performance drops we re-tune or replace the blade rather than grind it.

What's the MOQ for custom profiles?

Tell us the profile and quantity. Custom titanium blades are made to order with a low minimum order.

Send us your product for a free cut test

Tell us the food, its temperature and the cut width you need. We will cut a sample, check the frequency and come back with the blade length and the system that suits your line.
