Ultrasonic Tea Bag Welding Machine
A complete ultrasonic sealing set — generator, transducer and horn — built for the tea industry. 28, 30, 35 or 40 kHz at 100–800 W, titanium or alloy horns from 3 mm to 20 mm, and a hermetic seal made in a fraction of a second with no glue, thread or warm-up.

A hermetic seal, made in a fraction of a second
Tea bag sealing is a spot welding process: the horn presses the filter paper or non-woven layers together and vibrates them at ultrasonic frequency. Friction heat is generated only where the layers touch, so the fibres melt and fuse into one seam — the rest of the bag stays cool and nothing is added to the tea.
That is why ultrasonic welding suits tea bags so well. The seal is airtight, which is what protects the freshness and flavour of the tea inside; adhesive, thread and staples disappear from the bill of materials; and a cycle takes a fraction of a second, so the sealer keeps pace with a high-speed tea bag line instead of throttling it.
The machine ships as a matched set — ultrasonic generator, transducer and horn — tuned together in our workshop before it leaves.
What tea bag producers gain from ultrasonic sealing
Fast and efficient
Built for high-speed production — bags are sealed quickly and consistently, which lifts the output of the whole line.
Hermetic seals
Ultrasonic welding produces strong, airtight seals, the thing that actually preserves the freshness and flavour of the tea.
Precise and repeatable
The machine is programmed with the exact pressure and energy your bag needs, so every seal matches and defects drop away.
Versatile on materials
Filter paper, non-woven fabric and biodegradable materials all weld, across different tea bag shapes and sizes.
Energy efficient
Heat is generated only at the point of contact — no warm-up, no idling oven, far less energy than other heating methods.
Food-contact compliance
Equipment used in the food industry is designed to meet strict food safety standards, so the sealed product stays safe.
Ultrasonic Tea Bag Welding Machine — specification
The figures below are our standard configuration. Frequency is chosen for the material and the seal area: 28 kHz is the workhorse for tea bag filter paper and non-woven, while 35 and 40 kHz give finer control on thin or heat-sensitive films.
Power from 100 W to 800 W covers everything from a small single-bag seal to a wide multi-layer seam. Send us your bag material, size and target cycle time and we trial-weld your samples before you order.

The horn decides what the seam looks like
Nothing else on the machine shapes the finished bag as much as the horn. It sets the seal width and the pattern pressed into the material, it carries the energy into the joint, and it is the part that has to survive millions of cycles.
We keep 3, 5, 8, 10, 12, 13 and 20 mm as standard diameters and machine other sizes and custom patterns in-house. Titanium gives the best fatigue life and the cleanest energy transfer on continuous production; alloy steel is the economical choice for lower volumes and larger seal faces.
Send us a drawing of the bag or a sample and we recommend the diameter, the pattern and the frequency together — the three have to be matched, not picked separately.

From tea bag lines to non-woven packaging
Tea Bag Sealing
Filter paper, non-woven and biodegradable tea bags — the core application, sealed airtight without glue, thread or staples.
Non-woven Bags
Seaming and handle welding on non-woven shopping and packaging bags.
Medical Products
Non-woven medical items where a clean, consumable-free seal is required.
Electronic Products
Small plastic and non-woven parts welded without heat damaging nearby components.
Automotive Products
Interior trim and non-woven parts in ABS, PP and PE.
Toys & Household Appliances
Plastic housings and assemblies in PS, SAN and ABS, welded cleanly at the joint.

Weldability depends on the material, the number of layers and the seal strength you need. Parameters are set per material — send us your bags and we confirm the settings on a free sample test.

Questions buyers ask before ordering
Which frequency should I choose for tea bags?
28 kHz is the usual choice for tea bag filter paper and non-woven — it carries enough energy for a multi-layer seam and is the configuration most tea lines run. 35 or 40 kHz suits thinner or more heat-sensitive films. Tell us the material and bag size and we recommend the match.
Can it seal biodegradable or PLA filter material?
Yes. Ultrasonic welding adapts to filter paper, non-woven fabric and biodegradable materials, because the heat is generated inside the material itself rather than applied from outside. We test your material before quoting.
What horn diameter do I need?
3, 5, 8, 10, 12, 13 and 20 mm are stocked; anything else is machined to order. The diameter follows the seal width and pattern you want on the bag — send a drawing or a sample and we size it with the frequency.
Does the seal need glue, thread or staples?
No. The layers are fused by the vibration itself, so there is no consumable to buy, stock or load — and nothing extra ends up in contact with the tea.
Can it be fitted into my existing line?
These machines are compact and built to drop into an existing production line or a facility with limited space. Send us your layout and cycle time and we confirm the mounting and the control interface.
What is the warranty?
Two years, with every machine tested five times before shipment. Horns and generators are stocked as spare parts.
